Bakyt Izbasarovna Aktymbayeva was born on March 18, 1972, in the city of Usharal, Almaty region, into a family of employees. In 1994, she graduated with honors from the Faculty of Geography of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, specializing in “Geography.” From 1994 to 1998, she studied full-time in the postgraduate program at Al-Farabi KazNU. In 2003, she prepared and defended her candidate dissertation at the dissertation council of Al-Farabi KazNU on the topic: “Natural and Agricultural Systems of the Ile-Balkhash Region” in the specialty 25.00.36 – “Geoecology. Earth Sciences.” The work was carried out under the supervision of Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Professor G.M. Zhanaliyeva. Aktymbayeva B.I. has published more than 45 scientific works, including 6 textbooks. At present, Aktymbayeva B.I. delivers lectures, seminars, and practical classes in both Kazakh and Russian languages on the following disciplines: “Hotel Management,” “Technology of Hotel Services,” and “Management of Hotels and Restaurants.” She supervises students’ research projects, diploma and course papers, as well as academic internships. Aktymbayeva B.I. responsibly fulfills her duties as a curator, being the curator of the 2nd year of the educational program “6B11103 – RDBH,” Russian department.
